This is <CALL/NAME> Calling the North Shore ARES/SKYWARN Net. This is a directed net. I will now break for any Priority Traffic. Please call Net Control….
The purpose of this net is to pass SKYWARN related traffic as well as any ARES traffic from Essex County that may arise during this net. The current SKYWARN criteria we are looking for is:
- Snowfall Totals updated every 2 inches or every hour (please keep us consistently updated)
- Final Snowfall Totals (when applicable)
- Wind speeds of 40mph or greater
- Wind Damage
- Coastal Flooding (High tide around 10:45)
- ALL damage and power outages
- Other SKYWARN storm related criteria
We will now perform a call-up of all stations involved in the net. We will take general check-ins shortly, following a call-up for specific stations. Please check in with your call sign only and we will recognize you in rotation
- ANY priority traffic
- ANY ARES traffic (if applicable, check in with KA1NCF or KB1KQW)
- ANY City or Town EOC’s
- ANY stations updating their reports (roll-call stations already checked in if necessary)
- ANY NEW stations
We would like to thank all stations for their participation in this net. Our next call up will be at <TOP OF NEXT HOUR>. However, net control will be continuing to monitor this frequency to take any traffic you may have for the net. Any people listening with a storm report that has e-mail capability can send reports, along with any pictures, to skywarn@nsradio.org. All stations are reminded to please call net control prior to calling any other station on frequency. Should this frequency become disabled for any reason, our backup frequencies will be the 146.88 Salem Repeater, and the 145.49 Ipswich Repeater.
<CALL> will be standing by…
